Algebra with Legos, Spreadsheets, and Dynamic Geometry
Algebra is more than just symbol manipulation; understanding algebra also involves using tables and graphs. We will build 3-dimensional graphs from Legos. Then we will relate tables and 3-D graphs to linear functions and 2-D graphs. Last, we will solve algebra word problems with table or graphing software. Along the way, the mystery of the origin of equations of type Ax+By=C will be solved.
